Top 3 Signs Your Wedding Needs a Sound System

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming! There are seemingly hundreds of big and small decisions that the bride and groom have to make about every aspect of their day. If you are currently in the throes of wedding preparation, one of the issues that might be plaguing you is whether or not you need a sound system for your ceremony. This can be tough to figure out, particularly if neither the bride nor the groom has ever hosted a large event in the past. As you read this guide, you will discover the top three signs you should procure a sound system for your upcoming nuptials.

You are inviting at least 100 people

Very small weddings, which are often hosted in backyards or other intimate venues, typically do not require sound systems. In fact, not having microphones and speakers actually adds to the appeal of these sorts of ceremonies. If, however, you are inviting at least 100 people to your wedding ceremony, it would be wise to have a sound system at the event. The more people who attend, the further some will inevitably have to sit from the front. Using a sound system ensures that everyone can hear, even if they are in the back row.

There are at least eight rows of seats

In most circles, it is still very common to have wedding ceremonies in churches or other houses of worship. Traditional sanctuaries tend to have pews that span three feet from the start of one to the back of the next; folding chairs generally sit a similar distance apart. People sitting in the eighth row, therefore, will be 24 feet away from where the ceremony is happening. They will not be able to hear properly from this distance, so it is best to make sure your venue is equipped with a sound system.

You are getting married outside

Outdoor wedding ceremonies are undeniably lovely, but they can also be louder than indoor affairs. Even if you are getting married in a secluded area, such as a state park or a local garden, you may still encounter unexpected noises, such as wildlife or police sirens. To be on the safe side, it is important for all couples who are planning to get married outside to secure sound systems prior to their big days.

  1. Yup, I totally agree with your stance that any kind of outdoor event certainly requires a good audio system to overcome external noise interruptions. Speaking of, my cousin is getting married in Tennessee next month and the ceremony is going to be organized at a national park. I suppose he should reach out to an AV system provider to take care of the matter.
